Epson ET-3600

Hi. I have an EcoTank 3600. I haven't used it for a while due to relocating to another country. The printer wont print and displays a fault 'PRINTER ERROR 031004'. I can't find this error code anywhere, could anyone advise and a possible fix. My black ink is low but don't really want to fill it in case I have to take it out again and the mess involved.

If the internet search does not yield a good explanation for the error code you may have to get the service manual - e.g. via 2manuals.com

On the internet I can't find the fault code listed at all. I contacted Epson who said "it looks like it needs servicing" at £118.80. Return to base and 15 days turn around, but also said if not repairable it would be sent back unrepaired. No mention of what the fault code is.

You may run the status report with the WICReset utility which provides a short description to a range of critical errors.
