I have the Epson C66. I turn the printer on and the power on led flashes for a few seconds and the printer heads move. Then the two red LED's next to the power led flash on and off together and the software says it isn't connected. I have tried different cables and into different USB 2.0 ports. There is paper loaded with newer cartridges. The software installed fine and the PC recognizes a new device when I turn the printer on.
Printer drivers version (from Epson): Printer Driver v5.5aA

Thanks, I already posted there. I got an email back from Epson stating all the errors this printer can produce and it says:

Green power light is off; (A) red paper and ink lights flash
The printer may have an internal error. Turn off the printer, wait a few
seconds, and turn it on again. If the lights are still flashing, your
printer will require service.

(B) 1. Power off the printer & disconnect the printer from its power source
2. Open the printer lid.
3. Without moving the inks to the left or the right (it is very important
that the carriage is not moved by hand) press down on all the cartridges
ensuring you hear each one click
4. Close the lid,
5. Reconnect the power & power on the printer.
6. The power light should flash for up to a minute or so then go solid.

I did what is says and still nothing so I get it needs service. Yay....

Thanks for the response.

Sounds like your printer has hit the Ink Overflow Protection Counter limit. I suggest you contact http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com and get a Rescue Kit. If you don't find one in the listings, ask them to create one for you.
