Epson 11880 All Black Ink

Hi,

can anybody elaborate on the current situation of refillable cartridges for the Epson 11880?
Is it still possible to use them? Does anyone have expierence is this field.

Another question, and this might be naive, is it possible to load original black epson cartridges into every slot (colors and black) and use a custom firmware or other modification to then have an all black ink system?

I am on the move and do not have time for a detailed reply.

Look into, or Google Cone inks or Jon Cone Inks. They have a method of doing this for fine art printing. May not be what you are looking for, but it is a start.

Not cheap, and not simple.

When I google for '11880 refillable cartridge' I get lots of links e.g.
http://inkjetsolution.eu/en_US/c/REFILLABLE-CARTRIDGES/10 in the middle of the page

they offer as well the Piezography line of B/W inks for a wide range of printers.
If you want to run other color scemes you would need RIP software to have access to all ink channels directly.
