Email help please.

I just discovered my forum email is not working properly and would like to apologize to any one I sent email.

When I first joined this forum I was using Myway email that was a small fast loading basic free email. Myway worked great until they upgraded and locked me out.

Then I changed my forum email to my Yahoo email and it will not work.

Any suggestions on how to make Yahoo work with this forum?

Or suggestions for a small fast loading basic email that does work with this forum.

Thanks
Ron.

Hey Ron, let me see if I understand: Are you saying that

1) emails sent from the forum to you are not getting through or
2) emails from members of the forum, sending email through the forum to you are not getting through?

In either case, if you aren't getting the emails it would have to be because of ISP or SPAM filters.

Is anybody else having a hard time getting emails from the forum? An even better question: Is anybody with a yahoo email account able to receive emails from the forum okay?

Hello Rob thanks for the help and happy Thanksgiving.

Edit: Found the problem with my Yahoo email but not sure why.

Seams that every time I delete an email Yahoo adds it to a Blocked email list?
I unblocked every thing in the list and now I can send a test email from here to Yahoo.

When I change my Profile to Yahoo email this forum sends the Change e-mail address requested to my Yahoo account that links back to this forum. Then I click on the link that takes me back here to Your e-mail address has been updated. but that is all.
After that I can not send a test email that shows up at my Yahoo Classic account?

The ONLY thing I liked about Yahoo was that I did not have login every time to check mail.

I wish I could find an email that is dialup friendly and idiot proof.

.

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
You might want to think about googlemail and allowing cookies for it.

You can use googlemail as a POP3 account too, which means you can use something like Outlook Express or Eudora to get the emails.

If you're REALLY stuck, I can let you have an account on one of my domains which has webmail capability but that'd depend on how much email you're sending and receiving.. :)

I agree with master websnail! I resisted gmail for quite a while because:

1) I like to have my own domains, host my own email, etc.
2) Don't like to be like everyone else

Well, I find myself using gmail more and more and actually suggest that many of my clients use it for the amount of storage, great features, spam filters, and pop / imap abilities.

Ok I dont understand most of what you guys just said but I signed up for Gmail.

It took quite a while because they said my password was too simple.
So I tried several different passwords and they kept rejecting them.
Finally I got mad and typed in kissmya** and they accepted that. LOL
