how to know if the cartridge model ts 5055 and identical to model ts 5050 ?

The printers are identical or very similar. See this, and scroll down to "Caractéristiques détaillées" and notice the printers both use the same family of cartridges. the PGI-570/CLI-571.

Even if i cheated and first searched the Canon website in English and found this, I think the Canon website is annoyingly difficult to navigate.

I had not thought of going to the site canon! ... pfffffff ... in fact, I use refillable cartridges and I am satisfied ... as I was not sure references of the cartridges I asked the question ... the prices of ts 5050, ts 5055 are the same at Darty and at Canon ... there is a shop at 10 km from home ... by cons seeking with Google = "" head print for canon ts 5050 "" I did not find anything because if a head for my mp550 costs me new + 70 €, as much buy a new one (.... and a waste more in the nature! ... arrrghhhhhhhh!) .... if i make this purchase i would take this =
