The Pro 9000 is a smashing printer that gives excellent results every time, a bit aged now, but don’t let that put you off, I use its older brother and wouldn’t be without it, unfortunately the 9000 doesn’t take pigment inks, Canon printers are not interchangeable with inks like Epson are...
You might want to look for a 9500 II, then you’d be cooking with gas...

@The Hat I have managed to find a canon pro 9500 I believe it takes pigment ink.
Could you please tell me were is the best place to get ink for this printer. I see some of the 3rd party ink companies sell ink for this printer but they only show five colours I thought this machine took ten

Octoinkjet is a great place for your refilling needs including all 10 inks for a Canon 9500 (MKI and MKII). Spend the extra and get the chip resetter and SquEasyFill Cap/Needle set.
