- Epson 640 and WF-2750
Looking for an all-in-one in the $>150 range. I had an HP 5250 that served me well for about 6 years but quit. I replaced it with an Epson 610 that worked okay for a little more than a year. But the ink cost appears to be very high with the 5 cartridges needed. It has been giving me problems with banding and occasionally dropping blobs of ink on printed material. It now needs another cartridge and 3 others are low. I tried to simply purchase another Epson 610 so that I can use the ink that I already have and have one for "parts".
I know that they practically give you the printer to sell you the ink. I'm considering the Epson XP-640 which is an apparent latest model, but uses different ink cartridges.
Before I buy another Epson all-in-one I decided to visit this site for recommendations. The old add age "burn me twice shame on me" applies. But maybe I got a lemon on the 610.
Any comments or suggestions??
