Hi

Are all Ecotank inks the same I been using 664 inks in ET-2600.

Printer has broke and thinking upgrading to ET3750 but I need to know it doesn't use pigment inks such as Durabite as this is no good for the paper I use.

Are there any differences between 664 inks ET-2600 and the 502 ink ET-3750 uses?

The ET-2600 uses the Epson 664 inks, these are all dye inks including black, the ET-3750 uses the 102 inks, here are all CMY colors dye and black is a pigment ink for better prints on normal paper. The 102 bottles have a coded fill-in adapter on top, the 664 bottles do not. You are not going into detail about the paper you are using - is it a glossy photo paper ? Or ? The ET-3750 does borderless printing, the ET-2600 does not. If you want to use a dye black in a ET-3750 you can quite easily do one thing, turning off the fill-in adapter of a 102 bottle, with some force, and fill 664 ink over into this 102 bottle and fill it into the printer.

Hi

Thank you I am using a self adhesive glossy photo paper which the pigment ink does not stick to. (Found this out after buying WF-7210)

Didn’t entirely understand the turning off part could you re-explain?

Would it be possible to just unscrew the lid from the 102 bottle poor the ink away and then just re-fill with 664?

yes, if you call the top of a 102 bottle a lid you can screw it off , refill with the 664 ink, put the lid on again and fill the ink into the ET-3750. The top of the 102 bottle is mechanically coded so that you cannot put black ink into any of the other tanks.
Please be aware that you need to use the paper selection matte/injet paper to let the printer use the black ink even if you use a glossy paper. The glossy paper selection will just mix black with the CMY inks. Yes, Durabrite like black inks for matte/copy paper don't adhere to glossy surfaces, that's the reason why the driver is not using it for glossy paper settings.
I don't now what you are printing, if UV/ozone fading performance is your concern, the 664 and 102 inks are not performing very well in this respect, but you have another option - the bottled dye inks for the Epson ET-7700, the Epson 106 inks are performing much better in this respect and are barely more expensive, so - just in case

Thank you again most helpful, my items are only used short term so as long as the print is good for up to a year so far I haven't had to worry about fading too much.

They used for sticker printing mainly but I need the thickness of the photo paper as often they are over wrapping an existing label.

I usually use Mirror Gloss 130gsm self adhesive or similar paper.

Do the 106 inks go into 3750 then do you know?

I don't know actually but you can easily swap the inks or just swap the top fill-in adapter/lid .
Fading - that's just fine if you are happy with inks you are currently using , you have the choice. And please be aware that other 3rd party refill inks won't perform any better but worse in most cases in this respect.
