I was wondering if anybody had the chance to try the inkset made by Inktec for the K3 printers (they market it as the "PowerChrome K3").
It's only a little more expensive than OCP (so it's among the cheapest inks out there), and I also came across this document in which they claim the ink is resin coated, with improved gamut and minimal bronzing.

I only got to try the magenta from that inkset so far (to replace the earlier weak OCP version), and I found it to perform slightly better than the newer OCP vivid magenta in terms of gamut volume, and the same (very good) in terms of glossiness.

Is anybody using the complete inkset and would be willing to share his experience? Especially how the inks perform in terms of Dmax and glossiness, and if the bronzing is indeed minimal.

hI Costadinos,

Very interesting indeed. I have tested the latest OCP K3 Vivid ink and despite its good color rendition, on some papers there is still bronzing. Inkrepublic IRK4-nano is better in Dmax and has much less bronzing, but still the problem with glossiness of the magenta (albeit much better than Image Specialists, which is very muted).
