Some people were getting an error after making a post to a forum. I narrowed it down to the smtp email settings for when the system is trying to send an email notification out to the user that is subscribed to the forum thread. The post is submitted fine, so if you hit the back button, then refresh you'll see the message is posted.

My Canon i470D had clogged nozzles after exposure to Arizona 111 degree weather for several days. Ordered a new one and then read Neil's fix and cancelled the order saving me 60 bucks. Now, my question is " when the cleaning station gets all crudded up with excess ink and then starts scraping the nozzle plate with this sticky goo, will not that, alone, clog up the nozzles". Now that I have (thanks to Neil) fixed my nozzle problem, I'd like to electrically disconnect the cleaning station as I consider it a threat to my printer. Any comments on this.?
