Been having some serious issues with the Yellow clog during the past month or so. The amount of times I have taken out the Print Head and soaked it either overnight or for days. I was about to contact Canon or buy a new Print Head (when we bought the Pro-100 S we also added 2-year Protection on...
OK news just in, I think this warrants it's own thread. No one is to blame here, but some of us devote a lot of time, money, and energy, including emotional. I am extremely grateful for the help and guidance of this forum, but I think the problem is forms as a whole.
I have just spent all...
Well I have been on a Print Spree past few days. A real bender! But today a Print came out Yellow fading to Magenta.
So I tried Head Clean, Deep Clean, took the Print Head out, tried to flush with Windex (Ammonia-D), it is now sitting on some saturated Ammonia/Isopropyl/Propylene Glycol/Water...
I hope I am OK posting a link to an external site, but check this out:

Hi guys,
With the recommendations to "print often" I have been doing so regardless.
The printer is only a few months old, but the past few days I have noticed that it is starting to "creek" when printing, exactly the same way my ix6550 did after years of use.
I also notice the exact black...
So the general consensus is when it is required to swap out an empty cart we should have a whole set ready to switch over in order to minimize Ink "wastage" due to what obvious SOUNDS like excessive purging when a new cart is inserted. Makes sense, the ix6550 used to drive me nuts, sounded like...
OK guys, this is it. You ready?…
So I have followed all procedures to the tee WITH you guys! I refilled all CLI-42 (and one CLI-8) successfully. Pro-100S by the way.
Some carts have already been swapped out (OEM's for 3rd Parties). They rest, well how to store? I read someone on here...
Thanks to all of you, I couldn't do it without you, special gratitude to @websnail at OctoInk. …you are my official "dealer"
Feels so good to not be a "newbie" any more.
Now ask away, any questions? Notice how I started out "wetting the whistle" on the Yellow dry CLI-8? That's right y'all...
Because you guys are always so good to me I am letting you in on this (no way would I give this up on DPReview, those with more money than brains with their expensive equipment, latest lenses that cost more than my house would buy it all up!)
So this is discontinued paper, I had a pack from...
<Rant to get off my chest>
Ok I almost forgot I had you guys here for back-up, the underground "hackers"… just had run-ins with a couple of suspicious 'trolls' over at dpreview that has lead to a temporary ban. They have been hellbent on "shoving CC (Cloud) down everyone's throats" and by me...
I hope I am not stepping out of line here, but today I was contemplating what to do with this machine after attempting multiple times to revive it with no success it is probably time to accept it is on it's last legs. Besides, it has served me well and have now a week young new Pro-100S which I...
Hi again, this will put a lot into context, and possibly expand on this infamous dreaded 'Yellow Jello' phenomenom…
What prompted me to get the Pro-100S last week was my now 4 year old Pixma ix6550 started showing a reddish (sometimes greenish depending on the print) cast after some intense...
Hi there, this is my first post. I have just recently bought a new Canon Pro 100S. Before that I used the Pixma ix6550 (And before that Epson R1700 I think it was)
For the past 4 years on the Pixma I have been using 3rd party ink from RefreshCartridges co uk. They have worked well, but now I...
