I was directed by a fellow member to a website that was selling the Epson Technicians Manual for the P700 and P900 respectively. They charged $10 for something I'm sure they got for free. So here's the manual.

I just ordered the service manual. I tried a couple tricks before deciding to open the printer up. I have a couple panels off right now. I'm going to look through the manual and post my results once I get things settled. I'll share the service manual with anyone who asks by DM.
Just an update. I've reached out to some local people who operate P700's but haven't heard back. They may even be part of this forum. I'm waiting to get into JToolman's fb group to hopefully see if I can find someone who's familiar opening the P700's up. Right now it's just sitting in it's box...
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain that to me. I had no idea they were using a switch to differentiate black inks before. After doing a few nozzle check prints and seeing the P700 printer in action, I have to say that it's the nicest looking printer I've ever worked with. It looks...
Can you tell me what the black ink switch is? I haven't found any useful documentation on the P700 other than unboxing and setup. With this being their new printing system, I'm a bit nervous to be the first one to try opening it up. I'm sure I'm not the first. But there's no documentation...
I just received my first Epson P700 printer. I've serviced a good handful of P600's thanks to JToolman's P600 disassembly video. I noticed the P700 is very different looking from the P600 and P800 respectively. I've looked on YouTube but haven't found anything close to as helpful as the P600...
I was hoping to hear your opinion on the matter and this actually makes a lot of sense. Genuine ink costs more per drop than Dom Perignon. I highly doubt printer manufactures will give that up. Hell, one company ditched Laser printers all together recently because the profits are in ink.
This is a bit of a deep question and I hope to see peoples opinions on the subject. Over the last twenty five years, we've seen a major shift from writing letters to sending email. Then as the internet grew, newspapers started turning to digital formats in favor of physical newspapers. The...
Certainly did! At this point I'm just trying to make the best of the situation. I take pictures of the shipping label next to a specific number or letter written on the bottom in a dark paint marker from now on. That way I'll know if they do the switcheroo. I can still fetch over $200 from the...
If anyone pushed the power plug in too hard and broke the female end inside the printer, this is a pretty straightforward fix. I used a pair of very fine jewelers straight pliers and very gently pushed the female end in just enough to apply some JB weld on the inside of where the black clip and...
This is a new one for me and I'm hoping there's a simple MacGyver like fix to secure it again. I included pictures of the plug that's been pushed inside the printer, and also a picture of a 1430 mainboard that shows the plug in it's normal position. I have some very fine jewelers pliers to...
So I'm starting to think that I've been scammed by a previous customer. I packed and shipped a working printer. They reported that the printer only displayed three flashing amber lights and wouldn't do anything until that was resolved. Yet the printer had ink around the edge on the bottom of the...
I just received an Artisan 1430 that looked like it was packaged well and arrived in good condition. However, when I turn the printer on, it does the normal startup process and sounds for a moment. Then everything stops and every single light flashes. I've attached what I'm looking at. Research...
The numbers and letters that are printed with the nozzle check on an Artisan 1430. Is that the serial number of the printhead itself? I noticed it's not the serial number of the sticker on the printer. I attached an image for reference.
Thank you so much for taking the time to detail the possible issues with the 3 lights flashing. I had a very interesting scenario last night involving a different PRO-100 printer that I've been using for holiday cards. I was getting ready to start printing so I turned the printer on and noticed...
I did that and see that it does an initial reset of lights before the 3 orange flashes begin again. I'm getting really baffled by this phantom paper jam.
I've been getting Error 1300 Paper Jam on the computer after hooking it up. I've looked and looked and can't seem to find any paper in the printer. I've pulled thick cardstock through the printer a couple times. Making sure to get to the edges and It's still giving me the three flash 1300 error.
