You may use the WICReset utility to monitor the Waste ink counter, the power flush or the ink charge increase that counter significantly.
I rather would run a normal cleaning, print that pattern again, and use different quality settings and paper selections - e.g. matte or inkjet paper instead...
You may do a testprint with the highest possible quality setting, the banding effect may become less visible since there are more print passes with more overprinting.
You may switch first the light cyan, take out the Inktec ink with a syringe and add some Epson ink. Do you have more regular...
the 3rd field from the left shows the light cyan pattern, and this aone shows quite some irregularities, some lines are not
straight, some are not separated by a small step down. This is not an effect you can align away. I'm afraid to tell you that I think it is ink related. There is a very...
please print a nozzle check and post it here, I'm suspecting some irregularities already there which make the alignment difficult.
Which type of ink are you using - the Epson original inks ?
What is/was the overall usage of that printer ? You may run the status report with the WICReset utility...

If you don't know which cartridge types you purchased those resetters for anymore you'll have to try
I wouldn't recommend that , the status monitor would show 'full' regardless if you did a refill or not. I have seen with various cartridge types that power cycling did not reset all of them. It...
that's o.k., just print until the next cartridge reports empty/not available, you may want to reset and refill the other carts as well at this time, but don't reset the empty one , the reset should happen (automatically) when you re-install that one again.
They wouldn't sell setup cartridges but regular ones only.
The user replaceable waste ink box is a feature enhancement indeed
You may add some yellow instead of magenta ink to the cleaner for better visibility. I don't think it would inpact the cleaner effectiveness that much, just wait a few more minutes or warm it up a little bit.
you added some ink to the cleaner, that's a good idea, and you may get and use an UV flashlight like this one
(just as an example) - any low...
