Hope you are doing and printing well.
I have a question regarding the previous posts here: I bought the pre-filled cart set from Octoink, totally sure that was a good choice, but now, at my first refilling moment with these carts, I think I have done something wrong.
When trying to find drivers for a working Pixma iP5200R, I discovered that it's impossible to find drivers for recent versions of Mac OS X for this printer. Does anyone know of a way to get drivers that work on OS X Mojave? Or more in general, to get an iP5200R working on a recent...
hope you're all getting through this bizarre year alright..
I accidentally stumbled upon a working iP5200r - the web says it uses the same print head as the iP4500? Is the web correct?
In that case, consider me a happy lucky man.
Makes me wonder if one of my resolutions for 2020 should be to make room in my studio by saying goodbye to my to iP4500's with dead printheads. I'd asked at the local IT recycling center to watch out for IP4500s coming in, but they haven't seen one coming in in over half a year so... breaks my...
Well... :) judging by the heavy silence following this post, I'm supposing the is the silence of the death of a printer? No hope for the ol' bugger?
I was afraid this would be the case... maybe I should like for a replacement printer so I can at least make use of the new OEM carts..
Love reading all your input. Very grateful also for the nuanced perspectives. This is a wonderful community, otherwise the kind of respectful dissent I read through these threads would not be possible.
Sounds like good thinking. When refilling when carts are 'low', will the printer have to do...
Recently, my 5350 began to display b200 errors. Most of the time I could solve this through opening the printer and while turning the printer on, closing the lid before the tray had completely moved to the left. After installing a set on new OEM carts last week, however, I can't get...
Thank you very much for your insightful analysis. I for instance did not know the difference between refill and OEM ink on the level of fading is so big. This is something I have to think about carefully. In that respect it might for instance be more interesting to fix up my...
I've reading a lot of your posts recently, so much wonderful information and experiences, a pleasure to lose oneself in.
I thought it'd might be a good idea to post this question since it might to an interesting overview of different perspectives on ink management.
Thanks for your feedback!
I already experimented with inserting photo paper on which I had printed, written in Posca paint marker and Sharpie, the Pro100s printed over all that without a problem. Will also develop that further to discover how I can use that.
Hello everyone, and a good Sunday to you all,
My question might come from leftfield, but I thought to share it here as it could be a funny one to reflect upon between members of the forum.
I'd like my Canon Pro-100s to print on paper I painted (with acrylic paint). So: paper - paint it (let's...
Hope your printing goes well!
Small request for experience here: I just printed a monochrome image from Photoshop through Canon Print Studio Pro (black and white modus) and I notice red dots on certain parts of the image. Printed on Canon Pro Platinum paper. Would anyone have a clue...
Thank you stratman for your prompt feedback.
I found out the shop where I bought it (azerty.nl) had not closed the ink carriage arm...
Hope this didn't do any permanent damage when the printer tried to start up.
Hope you are all doing fine.
Seems like I have a similar problem. Just got a refurbished Pro100, unboxed it, started it following the manual (print head and ink tanks had already been inserted at the shop, apparently), screeching noise and the orange error light starts to blink...
