Oh no I meant filtered drinking water from the dispenser inside fridge. I did use some Windex also....it was the last thing I added.

If the filtered drinking water is soft, then it is fine. Hard water should not be mixed with ammonia, as this can cause the lime to precipitate, probably making clogs worse.

But why not use Windex? Windex is tried and tested for print head unclogging, it is used "as is", so if you can buy Windex (Original formula with Ammonia-D), then I would recommend using that. Being located in Europe I cannot find Windex in the stores, but a window cleaner "Ajax" from Colgate-Palmolive also works well.
Else "Pharmacists Cleaning Solution" is also tried and tested.
@PeterBJ you can’t bake a chicken to make it taste nicer after you’ve eaten it.. :old :p

Well I don't know if it is soft. It goes through a charcoal filter?

Charcoal has no effect on lime. I recommend using demineralized or distilled water for mixing print head cleaners. But the most important thing is that your cocktail worked well and brought the printer back to good working order. :)

I live in a hard water area, and I buy demineralized water. But some are lucky to live in a soft water area. :)
