@Emulator this is the course of action you should take...
http://help2.talktalk.co.uk/how-do-i-make-complaint

If talk talk will not listen then you should go to their ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution) scheme in this case the Ombudsman service. Normally with most ISPs if it gets to the stage of you taking the complaint to them they will soon take notice as the Ombudsman will normally rule in the favour of the customer. The ISP also has to pay the Ombudsman fees for dealing with complaints which obviously they do not want.

OFCOM (One F) will not help you or your case, they do not deal with SINGULAR or individual complaints, they regulate the industry as a whole, the only time the would listen to your Talk Talk complaint would be if thousands of others all wrote to them with the same issue. A bit more about that here...

I hope that helps.

If you search the net there are tales as long as your arm of people complaining about problems with telephone service providers. Some go to enormous, time consuming and detailed lengths and seem to get nowhere. It is an individual against a practiced industry.

Nope as long as you keep records (record phone calls if you can) keep copies of any letter you send and receive, if it then drags on you have all the evidence needed to take the matter to an ADR ombudsman who will solve the problem for you. I previously had an issue with an ISP that continually over billed and even tried to bill me once i had left and was out of contract. The ADR scheme sorted it all out. The trouble with the web for things like this are most stories are just from people that moan, rather than gone through the steps and taken things to ADR stage.

But I have better things to do, I am not going to do all that, life is too short, I'll just write to Conservative Party HQ :) and change provider.:D

Part of the trouble is the so helpful?? guys in Asia. They are on a different continent in all senses. It ain't their fault. It is the system devised here to block all avenues. I'll let other enthusiasts battle with that, it could take an act of parliament.
