Hi I'm wondering if Canon (I have MG5150) comes with supplied software to print CD sleeves (inserts, for the case, I don't mean to print on the cd itself). Or a free external software , please.Supplied "Easy Photo Print" doesn*t have it

PhotoShop will do it easily but only if you have the Application, I usually use Illustrator for mine..

Nero CoverDesigner is a free stand alone program, that can do just what you ask for. You find a download here, scroll down to "Nero Free Applications". During install you are also offered some adware, "Speed up my PC" or similar, but you can avoid that by removing a check-mark.

I just downloaded and installed it, here is a screen shot:

I have used Microsoft Word for creating these sleeves, but this is easier.

Try Download.com to see what free apps for printing CD covers they have. I did a quick search on http://download.cnet.com/1770-2016_...Windows&licenseType=Free&searchtype=downloads.

Results of the search depend on what key words are used to query on. The app PeterBJ posted - Nero CoverDesigner - is also found at Download.com but did not show up in the search I linked. You should be able to find a completely free to use app for your needs. Which one you choose is personal. I tried Nero and several others but eventually bought Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker.

very helpful, thank you all for your replies. I`m still trying to decide, would prefer something lightweight and basic

It's the old "right tool for the job" truism. :)

I used Photoshop to design more complicated layouts that Acoustica could not. The majority of my labels/covers, however, only needed Acoustica.

The good news for @stoppage is he can try all the apps he wants and then decide what he likes. So much better than back in the day of the Model T automobile when Henry Ford said
"Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black."
