Instead of buying refill kits I prefer to buy the bulk inks and accessories I need. I have more than one printer, and some inks are used more than others, so standardized refill kits don't fit my needs.

I would like to see a report on how this system behaves. Are there any ink flow issues and how do the ARC chips behave? Are they of the intelligent type that will only reset to full once they have reached empty, so you can safely switch off the printer when not in use?

I have an HP Officejet Pro K5400 with a built in pump driven CISS. If I manage to get this printer repaired, all info about compatible cartridges and/or chips for HP becomes very interesting for me.

The "Printer Evaluation Image" looks a bit pale to me, but the colour balance is fine with a good neutral grey scale. I guess it was printed on plain paper. If so, that's perfectly normal. An inkjet printer needs photo paper to show its full potential. The other plain paper test print looks OK to me.

I suggest you keep these test prints made with OEM inks when the printer was new, for future reference and comparison with the 3rd party inks and cartridges.
