Brother printer DPC120C
rescued one of these on its way to the trash
does anyone have any experience with these old printers
The manual says print head technology Piezo
so im going to try it on some Epson ink unless anyone thinks this is a really bad idea.
The cartridges are so easy to refill and dismantling the printer to empty/clean the wast ink pads/reservoir was simple as was resetting the maintenance counter.

As far as I know Brother printers use dye ink only, so not all inks intended for Epson are suitable, but some Epsons use dye inks.

Given what you've found in the manuals, etc... (I tried to confirm but ran out of time), then Epson Dye ink should be fine.

Ink colour values are likely to be "interesting" but you may be ok... unlike pigment inks it's unlikely the ink itself would damage anything... I've got some old dye ink stock if you want to get some for the cost of postage to confirm if it's any use.. it's unlikely to be much good for more than a few months given age but it would help confirm a few things.
