My friends,
I noticed that my printer using mainly LM, LC instead of M,C while printing color documents
I am printing PDF book using adobe acrobat pro
I am using refill carts

this is the options of the epson print

Plain Paper / Bright color paper
color controls, Adobe RGB, 1.8
Normal quality (Text & Image)
high speed
Edge smoothing
2-slide printing

and this is the option of adobe acrobat

Acrobat color management
color profile : sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (sometimes using adobe RGB or samsung natural color pro 1.0 ICM)
output color : composite RBG
treat grays as K-only grays ON
preserve black ON
preserve CMYK primaries ON

so what is the problem?
when I check the Ink level in the printer monitor I found the level of LM,LC are mainly consumed not the M,C and when checking the carts ink level it is the same.

waiting your replay

Thanks

Do your pdf files contain color images/graphs/texts of light colors? This should indicate why LC and LM inks are much consumed.

The Artisan line primarily seems to use LC and LM on photo paper and regular C and regular M on plain. It's in the printer's firmware, can't change that. I went through a couple "cartridges" on my CISS to try to figure out ink usage.

I find that LC and LM are always the most used in both my Epson 1400 and Artisan 725 printers.
I do believe this is normal for these printers. I usually only refill the other colors every other time around.

Your very welcome Alaa and I'm assuming your finished color photographs are very good. Those printers with the "Claria" type dye based inks seem to do a good job for us consistently.
I have used printers that use pigment inks and I have had excellent result with those as well but I personally lean toward the dye based inks myself. At first I didn't realize how very important it was to match the correct paper with the right ink so I had mixed results but now the paper gets just as much attention as the inks and that is the answer to good printing in my opinion. I sent for a (Sample) paper offering that Red River paper makes available and that was a very good move for me as I got to try all the inks with the various papers so I could see first hand the differences paper choice makes. I think a sample box of Red River paper was under $9.00 and they give you a few sheets of just about all the papers that they carry so it's a good deal!
