The little eraser somehow broke off the end of my pencil when I was doing homework and flew through the air landing in the area where new paper feeds into my printer. It went so far down, I never have been able to see it. Now, the paper jams on the right side of my printer as it feeds into the printer to be printed on. In fact, the paper never really goes into the printer because the eraser is in the way. So, I guess I don't really have a paper jam. I have an eraser jam??? I have squeezed my little fingers as far down between the rollers as they can go and feel nothing in there. I have turned the printer upside down and shaken it all about to see if it would fall out. I have tried to take the printer apart but can't seem to get it apart without thinking I'm gonna break it.

This is the best printer I've ever had and I don't want to buy another one. This one worked perfectly fine before this freak thing happened. Any suggestions?

I have a similar situation with my iP4300. http://www.nifty-stuff.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=5513

I did open my iP4300 to have easy access to the paper exit port.

But you can feed a folded paper from the left side of your printer and cut the power when the paper emerges from the exit port. Pull the paper out slowly past the eraser. Then, move the paper to the right. Push the paper in reverse order to loosen the eraser.

Good luck...

EDIT:
My guess is that you tried to print something after the eraser fall into the paper path. The paper feeding action pushed the eraser deeper into the paper path. If you turned your printer upside down right away, the eraser might have came out naturally

Oh my gosh!! I can't even believe it!!! It worked!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Once I shut the printer off with the paper stuck in it, I had to inch the paper back and forth all the way across the rollers to get the paper to move in there, but it worked!!!! Once I got the paper all the way across, I thought there might be a chance the eraser wasn't on the rollers anymore. The eraser never fell out when I then turned the printer upside down even after shaking it a little but I did hear something rattling around in there that wasn't rattling before. So, it's still in there somewhere but it must be out of the way because I can print with no problems now!!! Yea!!!! In all this, I had a spider crawl out of some hole like it had made itself at home in there. So, now that little bugger is out of the way too. I'm so excited I don't have to buy a new all-in-one printer now. THANK YOU AGAIN!! I prayed for God to give me a solution to this problem and He sent you!!!!
