Inktec released today new bulk inks for CLI 521 and PGI 520. They want to release in June new refill kits and as soon as compatible chips are available , new cartridges. Good news!
When you come to think about it when canon reduces cartridge size and a third party makes compatibles for it it's a good thing right
But there is another point of view: A major ink maker could get in agreement with other compatible product makers to not make compatible ink or cartridges for a printer that has hit the absurdity barrier.
Now majority of people I know will buy these low quality printers because they know 99% that compatibles will be on the market sooner or later. If a company would announce that instead making new compatibles they refuse to follow ever shrinking cartridge fashion and will reduce price of old generation compatibles until manufacturer comes to its senses. We could hope to see "normal" printers.
Else in 5 years we will have picoliter cartridges not nozzles in our printers.
Yes HP is already close to that with their HP 95 color cartridge with only 7cc among the colors making only 1.75 cc's per color! And people are throwing there arms up at canon for an 11cc single color tank!
