You have an A3+ printer - what else is the new printer supposed to do and print - replacing the old one - or printing posters for Halloween or getting another one as a spare or .........?

@Paul Edmunds, that new printer is for you or for somebody else?
In the first case, maybe a pigment printer like the Canon Pro-300 would be a good complement to your Pro-100.
In the second case, there isn't much choice nowadays for A3+ printers in 'Canonland' : either the dye based Pro-200 or the pigment Pro-300.

Researching for a friend.
but the general questions remain - what is he supposedly printing - larger photos ? - or general stuff - and how much ?

Canon models could be IP8750 IX6850 TS9550 Pro200 as the successor to your Pro100s or a Pro300 or an Epson Ecotank model ET-8550 for higher volume as a Ecotank model for very good photo printing , and there are more models by Epson or Brother for office type use.

The main use would be photographic prints.

Thank you for your help.
