Hey all... Trust you're all keeping well... Just wanted to confirm a pulse in case anyone had picked up on the fact that I've been offline at the store, with Covid this past week or so..

Got caught, had to rest, but vaccine did its thing and saved our assets from something worse so grateful for that. Still trucking but that among a metric ton of administration and chaos has put me out of the "free time to chat" realm for a while.

In other news and to make some of you feel particularly old, the eldest has started Secondary (High) school this year and the little one is now out of nursery/kindergarten and into Primary (Elementary). They grow up fast!!

Keep safe and sensible (well relative to yourself ;)).

I caught it last year's November. Lasted almost a month. It was difficult. Had to sleep on the stomach at night, breathing was really hard. An oxygen compressor would raise my oxygen to acceptable levels so that I could work. I was prescribed with cortisone which helped tremendously.

I'm very thankful for the vaccines which will hopefully keep us relatively safe from now on.

Trust you to pick up the virus second hand, but I’m glad it didn’t take you down and you’re now on the mend again, forgive me if I won’t be trying that idea out because it probably would finish me off, I’ll be getting my Flu jab in another 7 days..:ya

Just think of the peace and quiet you’ll be having with the two of them locked up for a few hours each day, does this mean customer service will get back to normal without having Eve make up another new colour batch behind your back.
They grow up fast!!
I reckon you’ll need to treasure them both a lot more now, and if you think the last few years went fast, then hang on to your ass because the next dozen will go even faster, it’s a sign that you’re getting older and can’t keep up.. It happens to all us old farts..:old
P.S. O’ it’s you Martin isn’t it… I nearly forgot your Name again..:gig

Yikes... Glad you're through that mess then. And yes we shudder to think how things might otherwise have been without the vaccine shots we got.

Ironically the only thing that stopped OctoInkjet shutting down for 2+ weeks was the little un' getting a completely different virus a few days before boyo brought home his bio-science project to share with the family. I had to isolate for 4 days with little un at home, confirmed it was all non-Covid and then we all got Covid. Weird silver lining but it means we're still shipping. Thank $deity for that...

We can't get rid of you that easily... ;) Glad you can't be persuaded otherwise...
...much as I might pretend otherwise sometimes.

Treasure them plenty already... Been far too many reminders of mortality of late but teenage may stretch that a teensy bit...

Anyway, time for me to rejoin my clan and get some much needed sleep. Thanks for the thoughts all, glad you're still with us, humour intact.. :hugs

Scary story. Were you hospitalized?

Glad you have recovered!

Thank you.

I wasn't hospitalized. I wouldn't consider my local hospital to be capable of handling multiple Covid cases, so I told them I didn't want to. They prescribed me with cortisone, an antibiotic and a lease for an oxygen compressor which worked great. They did communicate with me regularly which was nice. I even got a few calls from the police to confirm that I wasn't going outside my home :)

@websnail -- yes, and we now only have to convince our friends and relatives to vaccinate.
