I have an Epson Ecotank L3060.Sometimes when I print a photo on my usual plain paper using settings "Plain Paper" and high quality setting, it sometimes prints some red tones more like brown. If I print the same photo using the same settings("plain paper" and high quality setting) on a photo paper, it prints red color as it should be, totaly red.

I experimented with "Adobe Rgb", "Epson Vivid" and "PhotoEnhance" settings, all of them did some effect on the print, "Adobe Rgb" was the closest to red (though still looked some brown like, with some photos) but skin tones were the worst compared to "Epson Vivid" and "PhotoEnhance" settings.

Are all inkjet plain papers same?If I use another brand of inkjet plain paper may it print a better red than my current inkjet plain paper?Yes,I should use a photo paper for photo printing and more accurate colors but I still wonder if there is a difference between plain inkjet papers.

Well, seems like adjusting brightness to lighter created better red on plain paper and closer to the colors I see on monitor, possibly cause of the reason "lcd monitors are bright".I think,at least in CMY, when you lighten brown enough it becomes red( at least in my recent experience, it appeared like that)

Plain papers are not alike but pretty similar in their reproduction of colors - pretty poor overall. The gamut, the available color space , is very limited for plain papers , and the contrast range as well. You can try to use the icm option, or use the color adjustment mode and increase brightness of the print there, that typically helps.
'My prints are too dark compared to my monitor' - this is a typical complaint, but it is actually the opposite - the monitor is too bright, brighter than your print - the monitor creates its own brightness, the printout depends on the ambient light conditions which are typically lower than your monitor .
Yours reds are typically out of gamut, and such colors are muddy as you report it, that's just typical.
