I've determined alot of the mismatching in my images is actually coming from light sources and shadows in the actual images themselves. I've messaged the creator to see how they handle these light sources and what they actually entail as far as the image is concerned so I can ask you guys about them. I'll attach an image so you can see what I'm talking about. The printer seems to be having a hard time properly printing the shadows and lighting effects and it is swaying the color profile of the image based on the amount of light effects and shadows if that makes any sense.

I don't think it's an issue with color management in the first place, the image is just too dark to print properly.
Just have a look to the histogram - the distribution of brightness across the x-axis from 0-255 - half of the range - the lighter part - is not used at all by the image, this may work on a monitor with a contrast ratio of 8 f-stops, but you are stealing half of the contrast range for the printer. I did some heavy adjustment - raising all pixels lighter than 200 - only a few anyway - to 255 - white - and increased the gamma to 1.3 . You may do something similar with your photo editor - or with Qimage which allows you to do such adjustments at the time of printing. Forget Prophoto at this time, we are not dealing here with a wide gamut situation. I assume you want to see details in your prints so go and play with some adjustments of this type.

I like your altered version better for sure. I guess I should mention as well that the image is 20x20 inches and when it gets cut into parts to print as poster is where the printer or app decides to alter the colors in favor of lighter or darker colors based on the darkness or brighness of the image. For example, the bottom righ of the image with the heavier shadows prints darker so when I line up the pieces of the poster the wall colors do no match up. I am going to try your gamme increase adjustment like you said in gimp or photoshop and report back after printing. I really appreciate the help and knowledge you guys have, it is very much appreciated.

I'll attach an image so you can see what I'm talking about.
This is now a different image than the one you were having issue with before. Did you correct that earlier problem and now have a different problem?

color profile of the image
What do you mean by "color profile"? I am not sure we are all speaking the same language.

Acrobat PRO DC
Why are you using this application? The image you posted is a JPG, not a PDF, which is what Acrobat is made for. Have you tried a different application for printing?

I've been using Acrobat for the jpegs because it can handle them and print the image as a poster. I have tried to use Photoshop and Gimp to print the JPEGs but I cant get them to print the image as a poster over multiple pages. ( I haven't spent alot of time trying to figure out.)
Maybe using these is best option then?

Sorry I probably should've started a new thread or kept it separate for issues.

The color profile I am referring to is the actual colors that the printout has. When I was printing the image as a poster I was getting colors that didn't match up to the page beside them. Im assuming it was because of the difference from page to page of the colors that were actually contained in the image and adobe wasn't applying consistency to the image when printing. It seemed to be running separate corrections to each image of the poster I was printing instead of applying globally to the poster if that makes sense.

I'm printing right now with the adjusted gamma and stuff like Ink has suggested to see if that alleviated the deviations in color from page to page. It seems the images I was having troubles with all have that same kind of curve when open them in GIMP where the other images that printed ok have curves that look very different.

After printing out the image I am getting better quality prints but still getting color variances from page to page so they don't line up color wise. I'm doing some reading to figure out how to print poster images in other programs and maybe that will help with the problem. It is only in the darker images than I run into any issue.

Did you try the poster option in the Epson driver yet ?
Don't use the automatic image enhancement option of the driver but the color adjustment mode, this gives you as well
the option to raise the brightness and contrast - give it a try - with a one page image - even down to 4x6" just for testing the adjustments.

I never knew it had a poster option or that I could print from just the driver, I will give it a try.

Epson typically calls the poster option 'Multipage' on the main driver tab and offers up to 4x4 posters. it may work for you, but Epson does not offer other formats like 2x3 etc , or you just re-use blank pages the printer is ejecting if you select 3x3 but only need 2x3
