No on second thoughts.......

A beautifully crafted and executed image!
beyond my skills.

Strange isn't I much prefer your image.

Now you make me feel a bit of a fraud. Not a lot of creativity in my pic. The model dresses according to an agreed theme. All you need is access to a studio and a couple of strobes. Take enough shots and you get lucky. Photographically speaking that is. Getting a response from the model and pressing the shutter at the right time is a factor, especially as it takes the strobes a few seconds to recharge so you can't fire burst mode. I was lucky the model was Miss personality plus and easy to direct.

My first love is nature and outdoor shots like yours. advancing age and restricted mobility are making it harder to walk long distances with a bag of gear over uneven terrain. I am only good for a couple of kilometers now over relatively smooth terrain.

Here is a black bear photographed in Quebec yesterday - guess 300-400lbs and contemplating me for lunch. Fortunatley I was shooting from a car with a 400mm lens.

Do you have the Topaz plug in at all....would really like to see that in light psychedelic....
Giving it an edgy look in the rock and fur to compliment the general feel of latent threat ?

All photographs are just peek and click when it comes down to it....but having the ability to put a scene together to get the outcome one seeks goes a tad deeper than that Roy and you nailed it.

Thank you both, a fine start!! :)

I see no reason why Sumi shouldn't additionally use images from here, for PoW, if she chooses, it widens her choice!

I hope she doesn’t, let’s keep this a simple Photo thread ?
in fact, it would be nice to have a bit of competition to the POW...

In the POW anything goes, but here it's a bit more classier, and I reckon we’ve had a good start...
Thanks guys...
P.S. O’ please don’t neglect the POW, because @sumi will be on the war path... :hide

Epson 3880. Canon Pro 9000,
I started this thread for but one purpose. That was to have a place where folks could post pictures they take without the risk of having comment thats not supportive and encouraging.
POW is about something quite different.

My hope is that it remains so - please

If an image is put here its by the makers chioce, they could just as easily have posted under POW.

No just Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop. The Catalogue in Light-Room confuses me.

Feel free to play with the image if you like. - Uploaded file is a reasonable size unless PK reformate to a smaller format.

I also agree this thread should be separate from POW - Posters can make their choice accordingly.

Yes, it would be nice to resurrect this thread again, it just might get members to post some of their favourite photos...

Isn't the problem that this thread is competing with the "Picture Of The Week" thread? Could the two threads be merged into one?

I do printing just photos so I am thinking that something simple, unlike the Challenge in DPR, no high stakes, thus no need to cheat or get off side and agro.?
But I reckon @3dogs original idea and intention was to get away from clutter of the POW and just have a dedicated photo thread, and I suppose @ sumi could be tempted into using some of the lovely photos here, if that's allowed.. :hu
