Hey All,

I've been refilling my Canon Pro 100's for a few years now with PC inks, and I am in the process of switching my Pro 10's to PC inks as well.

Do I need to flush out my Pro 10 carts before I put PC ink in them, or like on the Pro 100, can I mix in PC ink with the OEM ink as the carts get low?

Thanks!

No necessary at all. The Signature Edition is so close, the need for profiles might actually be not necessary at all either except for the very picky. Chemistry is fully compatible and ink colors match superbly.

Smooth sailing.

@tjk, The Pro 10 is a different kettle of fish to its Pro 100 brother, so forget about your Pro 100 and pretend you don’t have one, and everything will work out far better.

The Pro 10 uses pigment ink and a different type of cartridge, that are filled in a completely different way to any other Canon cartridges you’ve ever had.

That said they are the easiest cartridges by far to fill, so use your current set of cartridges with the OEM inks till EMPTY, yes, I said empty, then remove and reset the chip and then refill using an adapter or the dribble method, with your PC inks.

There’s no need to flush any of the cartridges, they can be filled straight away once empty and the Yello Gello syndrome thing does not apply to the yellow cartridge either.

Basically, you just empty, then reset and refill, it’s that easy, and I know what your going to say next, it couldn’t be that easy could it, well yes, it is, believe me.

When your running with all PC inks and one cartridge get low or empty, that is the time to remove all the cartridges and replace them with your next set of filled cartridges, and when your ready you can reset and top up all the removed cartridges at your leisure...

Just enjoy the freedom this printer gives you.. ;)
P.S. don't forget to order twice as much Glop when ordering your inks..
