Here’s an update on my not so great purchase. :(

Got the whole thing assembled and put together easy and powered the thing on only to find a fault on the mainboard, the extruder motor wasn’t functioning, not a peep out of it.

Because I had a similar issue with my CR-10 I was able to diagnose and eliminate all the other possibilities that might have been wrong, in the end the board had the fault not the Extruder motor. (But I still checked)

This is where it gets interesting, I informed Creality about the problem and quick as a wink without any arguments or disputes, they quickly dispatched a new mainboard that day, now I taught that was really great Customer Service... :)

The new board arrived last Tuesday, and I promptly installed it in the printer, fired it up and guess what, the second mainboard had exactly the same fault, no power to the Extruder motor, I went as far as changing the extruder motor even dough I knew it was the Feckin mainboard again.

Creality were again very helpful, but this time they have passed the problem onto their backroom Techies guys, and I’m still waiting for their response, thankfully for me I have the CR-10 back running so there’s no need to panic or have a quiet heart attack some place...

When it rains it Feckin pours... :hitBut I’m still anxious to see what this little printer can do....;)

Wow, that sounds very frustrating, but also very impressed with Creality's customer service, that's good to know!

(especially considering you purchased through a 3rd party) :thumbsup

Here is the conclusion to the dilemma I had with my Ender 2 and it's continued failure.
It was quite straight forward in the end, put simply, there was nothing wrong with the printer, it was the PEBKAC in control of it.

There is a built-in safety system in the mainboard that won’t allow the extruder motor to move if the hot-end is below 180c, this I was told was to prevent the Hot-end from clogging up.
For future reference to anyone else trying to trouble shoot their 3D printer problems, please don’t forget the Flippin obvious like I did.
I still say the customer service was excellent... ;)

After Baby sitting this printer for what seemed like an eternity, I got my first print from her today, it doesn’t look much but its the start of many, I hope...;)

Here you can see where I moved the control box further over to the left side out of the way of the hot-bed, it gives a lot more room to work.
Ender2.JPG This is a photo of where the control was before the move.
