As a side effect (the repair function selects the printer as default) I found out the PRO 9500 is automatically switched on when launching a print.
I was unaware it was possible with this printer and it is not documented (it was and worked with my IX6550 USB printer).
It doesn't work with the PRO 9500 II.
May be the driver ?

Not a big deal for a photo printer since you need to feed the correct paper anyway.

Both printers can be switched off from the PC (at once or with a time-out, that's how I use them).

When Windows 10 has trouble installing an Update, it keeps trying, and trying, and trying, and... and the user keeps getting annoying messages. If you are using Win 10 Pro you can stop this. I don't know if this is available to the Home version.

Download from Microsoft a file called "wushowhide.diagcab". It is one of the Microsoft "Troubleshooters". First, make note of the errand driver. Second, when you double click "wushowhide.diagcab", click on "Advanced". Remove the checkmark for "Apply repairs automatically" (remember, that's the part Windows couldn't do). Click "Next".

The Troubleshooter will look for uninstalled Updates, and give you a list. Check the one(s) that gives you the message(s), and say Fix. It may take a while, but finally you get the confirmation. Now Windows 10 Pro will not try to install it anymore.
