Every time i look at these service manuals or open up a printer, i wonder if you need at least an apprenticeship as a watchmaker/horologist first. I bet it wouldn't hurt.

I received a waste ink reset utility from OctoInkjet when I purchased a "printer potty" for my Artisan 800 with a cheap CISS. The utility was free. I don't think they give those utilities away anymore (but I could be wrong on that matter).

In order to use it, I must use a Windows XP machine, connected to the printer through a USB cable. I have used the utility successfully at least a half-dozen times. It does not seem to have any usage limits, and no "key" is required.

Long live the printer potty!

that's probably the old SSC utility for the waste ink counter reset. That was discontinued quite some time ago as a free version.
