Is there anything I can check for in the Windows print settings that would cause any problems, just in case windows has changed one little parameter somewhere?

Is the print driver you are currently using signed, if not then that would cause Windows to kick it into touch, after an update...?

The only other thing you can do is to uninstall the printer and software completely, then in time Windows may reinstall the print driver itself, I know this method may sound strange, but it does work...!

Probable issue: The drivers are not properly recognized.
Other possible causes: Bad USB cable, bad USB ports on either printer or computer, wrong printer port selected in in the Ports section of the Printer's Properties.

This sounds like the same problem some experienced when upgrading to or within Windows 10 with Canon printers. The printer seems installed but does not print anything except something initiated from within the printer like a nozzle check.

First, make sure the printer and software are completely uninstalled. Since I do not own this printer, or any Epson, I'm relying on what i can read on the internet.

From manual page 60 of your User Manual (https://files.support.epson.com/pdf/sc760_/sc760_pb.pdf)

Uninstalling Printer Software
Windows
1. Double-click My Computer, then double-click the Control Panel icon.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs. Click EPSON Printer Software in theprogram list, then select your EPSON Stylus COLOR printer icon.
3. Click theAdd/Remove button and follow the instructions.
4. If you’re using the USB port, click EPSON USB Printer Devices in the program list; then click the Add/Remove
button. Restart your computer.

Note #4 -- did you do that step?
If not then do.

Once uninstalled, reboot without the USB cable attached. Power down completely.

Now, follow your Setup Guide explicitly to reinstall the printer: ftp://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/90/epson8958eu.pdf Note that the printer is off when you hook up the USB cable. There is a Windows 10 driver for your printer on the Epson web site. Make sure you get the correct 32 or 64 bit version.

If this does not work then read the following link carefully: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...printing/16931816-7ed7-4d3e-88ef-246208be9c59. There are several options to try such as installing the printer device software in Compatibility Mode and making sure the proper Port is selected.

Let us know your results.

So maybe i'm not gong mad after all! ;-)
If you are going mad then you've convinced us you are not! ;)

You did not say you had an error message. Also, you do not have a printer of the classes that are affected in your link. However, that does not mean your printer is not affected by something due to the Windows upgrade.

Again, this was more than a rare complaint for Canon owners. If it is "like" what happened to Canon printers then you should be able to get your Epson running again. Also, @The Hat did give one possible solution that your link mentions -- let Windows install printer drivers for you.

Chin up.

Today windows decided to auto update again & guess what the printer's not working again, is there a way to temporarily stop auto updates in Windows 10 so I can keep my printer working & uninstall this update again until they have fixed the suspect version?

Did you try the suggested workarounds to get your printer working with the latest Win 10 update?

Google "Stop Windows 10 Update" for methods. What is available to you depends on which edition and version of Win 10 you have, with Home edition being the least capable of delaying updates compared to Pro (partial control) and Enterprise (full control). Older versions of Win 10 Pro will eventually force an update unless you have the Enterprise edition.

The new Creators Edition of Windows, the one it sounds like you are trying to avoid, actually gives improved control over certain updates, possibly forever, but I think certain updates will always be eventually forced for security purposes.

So, my recommendation to you is to try the workarounds until one hopefully works.

Maybe I missed something in this topic. But my question is:
Is there option to get driver for your printer directly from manufacturers home page (Canon, if I read correctly) - maybe some older version. Then you uninstal driver, restart comp, and install this downoaded versino. Maybe stupid idea, but in this way I tninking this momentus.
