From Wednesday 22nd of November Aldi DK offers the popular Sihl photo paper 280 gsm glossy, either 50 sheets A4 or 150 sheets 4" x 6". The price per packet is DKK 40 = € 5.37 = £ 4.81.

The paper might be available in other European countries soon.

The last couple of years Aldi DK has offered Netbit paper, but this time it is Sihl. Maybe Sihl is the most popular of the two brands?

Aldi-Nord in Germany was always running such an offer in the end of November time frame, but I have not seen the ads yet for this year - I'm watching.

You might be lucky. Aldi DK is Aldi-Nord.

if it's marked as a 280 gr paper, that's the Sihl version, the Netbit version is 300gr. I just did some measurements on both - the color space, the gamut is virtually the same, very good, equivalent to much higher priced papers. The Netbit takes slightly more ink before you see ink puddles, that's a matter of the driver settings, the paper choice - glossy, premium glossy, ultra glossy whatever. The Sihl (and the Netbit at other times) papers are really very good price/performance leaders , you won't get PE RC papers at this price - about 10 cts (€) per A4 sheet anywhere else . And there are small differences in the color of the white point - but who cares. Both come with optical brighteners, very much standard for such papers as shown in earlier threads and tests.

You are even better off with 3,99€ per 50 sheets, that's a real bargain, I think I'll go there to pick up some packages...(o.k. - it won't pay for the gasoline ..) .. anyway - look to the fineprint on the backside at the bottom - if is says 'Sihl' or 'Netbit' you get the good stuff, if it's some other companies' name I wouldn't know.

I got the foto papers at Aldi in the Netherlands - it's the Sihl papers at an unbeatable price - 3,99€ for 50 x A4 or 150 10x15 - one Euro cheaper than in Germany, here in the stores since Thursday - I think I need to talk to Mr. Aldi......That's the best price ever I have seen for a good PE filmed RC foto paper with a good smooth gloss and a very good gamut. If you go for similar papers by HP or Canon or Epson or Tecco or..... you pay 5 - 7x for a similar quality
