Canon PIXMA PRO-100S speed ?

Can any measure speed of this printer on A4 or A3 ?

@Tigherman, it would be almost impossible to measure the speed of a single printer without pre-set conditions, because that is determent by the amount of ink being laid down, how big the printed file is in MB and what the quality setting are set too at that time.

The only true way to realise the print speed on any printer is to test them with the same file documents and print quality settings, another factor to consider, how is the printer connected to the computer, Wi-Fi, Router or USB 1,2 or3, and how full the carts are before the test.

The connection only relates to how long it will take for the printer to receive sufficient enough data to start printing, that however doesn’t affect the overall print speed.

So, what you’ll need is a text document, preferably a PDF and a standard photo and some willing member with a Pro 100 willing to precipitate with you in detail with your speed test, I don’t have a Pro 100, sorry...

There tests in photos I want monochrome printing and 3D shots.
Here example of what I want.
Of course print in A3 sheet.

Pro or normal 100 will be ok @The Hat ..

mode: standard and Draft, B&W printing

The Pro-100 is a dedicated photo printer and doesn't have the pigment black used by other printers for plain paper B&W printing. It can print B&W plain paper documents using the dye photo black cartridge, but this is not ideal. Your iX6840 with a pigment black cartridge is better for A3 plain paper documents.

@Tigerman, I don’t have any of the Pro 100’s, mine is a Pro 9500, which is much slower, and all these Pro printers don’t have draft quality setting, because as @PeterBJ pointed out, they are dedicated photo printers.

Any printer that has Draft (Fast) print quality will always print faster, regardless of whether they use one cartridge or several, but single cartridges printers usually have the edge by about 10%

My old i9950 could compete favourably with my iP4500 when running B&W at high speed and there wasn’t much between them, but the iP4700 left them both for dead by about 20%.

Some time back, I use to print sheets at Draft/Fast speed on the iP4500 but very soon realised that I spent more time picking the sheets off the floor, so I reverted to standard mode, which turned out far more convenient in the long run...
