There has been some discussion recently on what ink cartridge reset functions certain Epson 1400 firmware versions will allow. it's been said that the firmware on early versions of the 1400 allow for better reset options than later versions of the printer. To try to determine what firmware versions exist I am asking all 1400 owners to post the firmware version and approximate date of purchase. Firmware version is printed during a nozzle check and is the first set of letters and numbers. For example, on my nozzle check I see AR1273 QP100653, the AR1273 being the firmware version. I don't know what the QP100653 means.
To start the ball rolling, I bought my 1400 from B&H in March, 2011 and my firmware version is AR1273.
