The constant removal (for resetting) and checking ink levels is their Achilles heal because the ink outlet port seal will degrade.     Thank you for the information! I have tried the InkRepublic system. The ink stains the inside of the cartridges making it almost impossible to visually determine how much ink is in them. I think after people use them for a while (and run down the ink levels) and have to reset them they are going...

    It is important to note that the Epson chips (with or without the tuning chip) will always register empty when they think the tank has delivered approx 80ml of ink (like the OEM cartridges). Therefore, I do not see the benefit of the larger InkRepublic tanks as you will never use all the ink...
