I would have a look at PermaJet papers. Their Oyster 271 is great and the Titanium Lustre gives a finish that's hard to describe :love but I'm not sure how it would work with flowers. They do test packs as well. Plus they do a free ICC custom profile service

I looking at some carts with ARC for my MG5650. I understand that when a printer is switched off the chips reset, is that correct? Do these also reset if the printer goes into power save mode?

I fixed the magenta problem by cleaning the print head over three days but I then had a PGBK problem which cannot be fixed. I how have a new printer and I'm looking out for a cheap second hand machine that works so I can replace the print head in the old machine ;)

Sounds like a Wi-Fi issue. Try setting up the Wi-Fi again in the printer setting. Is the printer showing up in your router setting as a connected divice?

OK I've just got myself a Canon MG5650 for the bargain price of £50. I know you cant' reset the chips on the carts this uses (551/550) but I see there are refillable carts with auto reset chips available. I may look into those at a later date but for now can anyone recommend good compatible...

Sorry guy's for jumping the gun about a new printer. I have checked the function of the purge unit and it's OK. I'm now doing a clean of the print head over three days. Fingers crossed but if this doesn't work I will go for a new printer.

looks like I will be buying a new printer (MG5650) and I will give up on refilling carts! Yes I could spend £55 on a new print head but I'm concerned that may not fix it! I've just paid out on new ink as well :he

Yes I think you are right regards the ink flow. It's been a while since I have flushed the magenta cart and the PGBK come to that. I'm going to flush out a few carts today but I've also ordered a PGBK compatible to see if that helps the black issue. Also I know my inks are really too old and...

Update. I gave all the carts a deep clean and the Magenta came back OK but the PGBK as still not right, so I gave that a stand alone clean. :mad: Test print then had no magenta again !
