Hi,
I needed to remove the printhead from my TS705 for cleaning and I thought it would be similar to my old printer before finding the correct way.
Anyway, I ended up removing this part...
From here...
And now I can't figure out how to put it back on (I don't think it's broken)
Any...
Trust me, there is very little space, I can barely even touch the top of the shield. I'm only able to lift the tab on the right using a flathead screwdriver, I can't even see the thing you're describing on the left.
Is there perhaps a way to remove the top casing of the printer?
Thanks
Thanks @PeterBJ
I think the problem I'm having here is I have very little space to get my hands on the shield, this printer doesn't have a scanner that you can lift up further to get better access.
Thanks
I fear I might have to just live with this problem.
I tried lifting the tab and although it does lift, there didn't seem to be any resistance at all, like it wasn't holding anything.
I did try to slide the guard over to the left, even to the right, but there was no give in it at all.
So either...
Hi,
I tried to access the timing strip but I just can't find this release tab!
I've taken a close up video just in case it helps you to give me any further advice?
Thanks

Ah! It would be wouldn't it!
I'm not sure how easy that might be to remove without damaging anything.
I've done a print head check. Don't know if it helps narrow down the problem?
Is there anything else I can do to be sure what the problem is?
Thanks again
Hi,
I've recently started having print alignment problems with my Canon TS705.
I've tried auto and manual alignment but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
I've attached a picture showing how printed lines are not aligned.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's driving me nuts...
