Peter, I wish it were as simple as reassembling the printer again. I checked over the connections (there's a bunch) and didn't see any that were obviously misconnected. I'll look again and maybe try disconnecting/reconnecting the carriage cables. But that will be in a while. Now it's time...
Peter, thanks for the reply.
No, I've never had to remove the timing strip to get to the purge tubes. I do have to tilt forward and lift the unit away from the lower case to get to the tubes that are under the vacuum pump.
I tried cleaning the timing strip with ethanol and cotton swab as...
I disassembled the i9900, like I've had to several times before, to reattach one of the purge unit tubes. This time, when I tested it, the print head carriage moved to the left and stayed there. The error code is two blinking lights. The Service Manual indicates there are several possible...
Just used your code for some HP 60 carts. Got about a $10 discount (25% of total cart cost) but not free shipping. Still a good price, but not a doorbuster deal. The free shipping may apply to only certain carts.
Thanks for posting the code!
Any update on the quality of the Mexican Kirkland paper?
I bought a bunch of the USA stuff two years ago and have let my Costco membership lapse. Starting to run low on the paper and considering getting the membership to purchase more but will not bother if the paper is not as good. I'll get...
Jogdial, I just reconnected one of my purge tubes on my i9900 yesterday. You need to remove the carriage to see the tubes. They're just under the purge pump.
Thanks Froggy. I intend to use the kitchen sink (enameled steel) but I'll probably forget after awhile and rinse a syringe or two before I realize I've put the ink in the wrong sink. At least I know now that it won't be instantly ruined.
Avalanche, after leaving the ink spot on the matte...
Thanks for the replies. The fellow providing the sink let me have a sample piece to test. The sample has a matte finish on half and a satin finish on the other half. I put a spot of ink on both halfs and let it set for 15 seconds. The satin finish wiped clean with a kleenex while the matte...
So I don't get killed for ruining a new bathroom sink, does anybody know if printer inks will stain an acrylic sink. I am using the Hobbicolors ink for an I9900 printer (BCI tanks). Thanks.
Boomhauer, I have the same problem with my i960 except mine is with the magenta. Sorry to see you didn't get a response, as I'm pretty sure it would have helped me too. Have you solved the problem? I did the same trouble shooting you did and got the same results. I bought the i9900. I plan...
