The Canon one only prints. I really need a multi-function machine - one that scans too. The only advertisements I can find in the U.K. for the HP one have a MUCH higher price than that. But thank you both for replying.

I want to replace my printer, ideally with one which can print directly on a c.d. or d.v.d. - if they are still available. I would also like it to have 5 or 6 ink cartridges, and, if reasonably priced, to accommodate A3 paper too. Can those requirements be met in a machine costing no more...
