Hi!
I think I need some help and advice to get my printer to work again..

As you guys may know has this printer ink cartridges on one side of the printer and with tubes to the printhead. In the place where the ink cartridges are, there are a "pump", it pushes on a "window" on the cartridge.

The problem I have is that the printer does not print magenta. Or infact it prints nice some pages with photo, and then it stops printing magenta. It can seems that the pump doesent give the head enough ink.. If I remove the head and use a syringe to suck some ink out, it works a little before the ink dissapare.

BTW i do not use genuine ink, but the compani I buy from is serius, and ink to other printers works excellent.
This is not a printer that I use alot, mayby every 3 month, but the head works nice in the beginning of every printing I do. :)

It is most likely the magenta ink tank in the M/C printhead that has lost some of its capacity. I have had the problem with the black ink in the K/Y printhead a few times and the cyan ink in the M/C printhead once. In order to resolve it, I bought a printhead refill kit from eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-Printer-H...-For-HP-18-70-72-80-81-83-88-89-/272362872488

After I had refilled the tanks, it started printing again without any problems.

Ah, I will try that!!, Did you first clean the printhead, and then refilled it?
Can I use water for cleaning if I push some ink through afterwards?
What did you clean with?

Thank you for telling that you solved the problem yourself and how you did it. :)

Sure. I'm glad I could help.

I did not clean the printhead before I used the refill kit. I took the printhead out of the printer, plugged all the parts into it as shown in the instructions, and started the refill procedure. After it was done I wiped the ink that remained on the printhead with some tissue and then put it back into the printer. It started printing again without problems after the printer went through its printhead setup procedure.
