Hello, I am from India... Ever since canon launched new printers with oem ciss, Canon G1000 for example, they have also launched canon ink bottles in the market to refill these printers.
I guess the CMY inks are dye and the Black is Pigment. There is no dye Black. I was wondering if I could use these inks to refill my MG5370 and MG5670 printers. Both of these are 5 cartridge printers. 725, 726, 750, 751. I have been using OCP inks till now with no problems so far. But since I saw these OEM Canon Ink Bottles I am tempted to use them to refill my above mentioned printers... I am planning to use OCP dye Black for the missing Photo black from canon bottles...
What do u think guys ? would it be a good idea ? canon refilling with canon's own ink !!! Please suggest... thanks

I would think that should work if you have direct and affordable access to these bottles inks, it could be nevertheless that the color of photo prints would need to some adjustment or even better an icm-profile for the ink/paper combination you are using. Genuine inks and 3rd party inks - OCP or whatever - show a different performance of light stability - fading in the sun. It would be of great help to other forum members to know whether there is a difference between the OCP and the Canon inks in this respect. If you just could print an image or two with your existing inks, and later then the same image(s) with the Canon inks - with the same driver settings onto the same photo paper, place them into the sun for a while and watch whether and when you see colors to start shifting, it is typically the black which looses its black level first. And please post your findings here.

@arkpr, Using the Canon OEM inks is certainly a good idea, but you have to be careful because the inks for the G1000 are all dye inks, that includes the BK black, so you’ll have to continue to use OCP pigment ink in the other two printers..
