IX7000 error B200 and now 5200

Hi, i ve been literraly EVERYWHERE on internet to find a solution. I saw that B200 is programmed obsolescence, so i discovered that you can try to overpass it with Service tool and the manual. It s what i tryed, but i am not even sure that i am in service mode, while i try ST3400 it says error 006 or somethimes error 009, impossible to reset the print counter, it continues to flash from green to orange etc etc.

I am totally lost here, are you able to help me please ?

The service manual has the procedure to enter service mode and run service mode operations. It is found here. Before download see this instruction.

Error 006 from the service tool means that the printer has not entered service mode. Error 009 means that service mode operations cannot be performed due to a printer error. What is the pattern in the orange and green flashing? The pattern is a code telling what error the printer suffers.

Canon service tool V3400 is perfect for use with your printer.

Hi, i used this manual, did everything written, and nothing. The pattern is 10 green 10 orange, 10 green 10 orange etc.

And it looks like, the IX7000 was only build for me, i cant find anyone using it or having same problem, i cant believe it.

I tried with ST3600, nothing, with 1.7xx, nothing, russian, chinese, english version.

Oh and now i have error 005.

The B200 error is a print head related error and no service tool will help or circumvent this problem, try removing the carts and print head and see if the error disappears for you.

Power off the printer then power on again after a few minutes, then try installing the print head again without the cartridges to see if your error returns.

Yup, did that also. With/without printhead, or cartrige, 4 USB port, 3 PCs, cleaned the printhead, changed the cartriges.

The Hat posted while I was checking the service manual. The flash pattern and error message B200 means print head kaput, as mentioned by the hat. You find this error on page 16/53 in the service manual.

A new print head might revive the printer, but sadly there is a risk that a print head that has failed electronically also has damaged the logic board in the printer. A logic board that has been damaged in this way can damage a new print head, so replacing a Canon print head is a gamble, and sadly I cannot tell you the odds for success.

Oh yeah, with a printhead, half the price of the printer, i am about to cry. Thanks anyway all for your help.

Hi all, a little feedback, changed the printhead (sold a kidney to pay it), and now this b..., tell me half of the printing ERROR 5200, i changed all the cartrigde too, same !

The 5200 error is also a print head error. It means "The print head temperature exceeded the specified value." See the service manual page 16/53. Suggested replacement parts are the print head and the logic board.

The reason for this suggestion is that a defective print head can damage the logic board and a logic board that has been damaged can damage a new print head.

So sadly I think the printer is a total loss.

K,thanks for your advice, ill just go to HP or Epson, or anything else, i ve bought Canon for very very very long time, and now i am exausted, i cant suffer it anymore.
