@3dogs, At least you get a go on the swings with your weather, here the friggin temperature is much the same the whole year round, COLD..
It’s 16 today and in December it sits on 12 degrees..

With those temperatures I think I am happy to be here, I find 27 C is about as hot as is comfortable, anything like 40 C and you have to spend the day in a pool and that gets too hot after a while. I wouldn't mind your winter, but I'd be cutting up the logs!

This picture taken by a friend, young fella that started in my Fishing Tackle shop as a school work experince student......gone on to be a Teacher, Fishing Journalist and now mentor to me in a very different branch of sport fishing.
This is my not so new toy a Hobie kayak, lure fishing on one of our Metropolitan rivers on a freezing winters morning

You have everything including the kitchen sink and the computer display behind your right leg, wheels up and a red flag. Where are the wings? The rocket fuel must be in the two pressure cylinders at the back. Looks like a great sport machine.

You don't know freezing!

"You can't handle freezing"!

The water I see is still quite fluid, and the bank is not white...and I don't see the ice auger...

Quite correct. Unless you have drilled through a couple of feet of ice it is not a real winter. :)

I liked @turbguy 's post. He lives in Wyoming. I lived there for a spell as well. Cold is waiting on the corner for the street light to change to cross and get to class at 0-Dark-Thirty in -40 F with the wind howling.
