Konica Minolta PagePro 1390 MF
I am financial advisor from Croatia and I need advice regarding my printer :pop Since this it only part of the forum where I have posting priviledge I will post it here:

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and now I can not find drivers for my Konica Minolta PagePro 1390 MF. Konica didnt created drivers for Windows 10. Is there any way to install them and make my printer work with Windows 10?

On another forum someone wrote this: Install PagePro 1350 on XP and after that in driver for PagePro 1390 choose DLL for 1350. If it works with that DLL do the same thing manually on Windows 10.

Problem is I dont have Windows XP. Can someone provide me with DLL and instruction on how to do this?

Hi @Barrex and welcome, I would like to know what O/S you were using before you upgraded to Win 10, obviously it wasn’t XP then.

Because Win 10 is compatible back to Win 7, so if your printer worked in one of the previous O/S’s then it will work in Win 10..

Thanks for your fast response.
My previous O/S was Windows 7 64bit and now it is Windows 10 64bit.

When I want to print in word (or any other program) printer simply isnt there.

I can see it in Device Manager under "Other devices" as "KONICA MINOLTA PAGEPRO 1390MF Printer" (questionmark in circle icon over it) and Scanner interface (questionmakr in circle over it and als yellow triangle with !)

and in Control Panel/Devices and Printers under "Unspecified".

I tried letting Windows automatically find drivers and install 1390MF.

I downloaded drivers from Konica for Windows 7 and installed them but it didnt work.

I tried manually install driver but this message appears: "The folder you specified doesnt contain a compatible software driver for your device. IF the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.

If it worked in Win 7 then there is no reason why it won’t work in Win 10, can you get back to your old version of Win 7, on a previous backup ? that way you could extract the drivers that you were using, or can you even remember where you got the drivers you were using from originally.

If all else fails then remove all traces of the printer from the computer, everything you have installed so far then remove the USB cable from the printer and turn off your computer.

The next time you start up the computer wait 5 minutes and then plug back in the printer and power it on and just leave it sitting there till the computer detects it and asked to install the drivers automatically itself..

No.

I already tried that. Windows 10 cant find drivers for it.

The issue might be that the new Windows 10 no longer interprets graphics data the same way that earlier operating systems did with your printer. http://www.experts-exchange.com/que...a-Pagepro-1390mf-For-Windows-10-32-64bit.html

The following is a Dell Printer workaround for installing old (non-Windows 10) print drivers: http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN297759 Note that you must use "Run this Program in Compatibility Mode".

I had a very similar problem with some of my printers (new and old) under Win 8.1.

Some of them would install automatically and some of them I installed manually but two of them just flatly refused to install ?

I got so pi**ed off trying different ways to get the O/S to recognise these two printers, and in the end I just left them and didn’t bother trying to install them any more, so I uninstalled the drivers and deleted everything belonging to these two printers, one of them ironically was the darn Pro 1 !

Then one day out of the blue the O/S popped up and wanted to install both printers automatically, so I didn’t object and it went ahead and installed everything flawlessly..

Restart+shift
advanced options
windows startup settings
7(installation of drivers something something)
then i forced installation of driver and manually set ports....


Thank you all for trying to help me.

P.s.

Konica Minolta support is extremely rude!!! Last time I buy their products.
