I have had a lot of time finding other printers that can print stickers. I was looking into and EPSON L1800 as they have the tank system, but I know its dye and not water resistant. I was hoping to find something that can either top the current printer or print much larger pages at the same quality. Any recommendations?

Hi @Arauna and welcome, that said I found your post a little bit odd, why would you want something bigger than A3+ to print Adhesive stickers , that’s about as big as you’d need without running into handling issues. (Quality)

Now the Epson L1800 would be as good at handling your prints as the Canon 9000 would, added to that it comes with bigger ink tanks, and both are in the same class when it comes to image fade and water resistance.

For the same high quality output and size you’re going to need a Epson/Canon A3+ printer that can handle pigment ink which gives water proofing and better longevity, and if you need something bigger then try the Epson 3880 or Canon iPF5100, all this comes at a bigger cost !

Well, I was looking at or hoping for a printer that could print posters as well as stickers. I may be asking for too much. It seems like the Canon Pixma Pro-1 is probably the best pigment printer. At least that's what I have turned up. I am going to keep looking but if anyone wants to jump in with their thoughts I would appreciate it.

Looking thought them, I may choose to go with an Epson Surecolor P600 just because of the cost vs the canon and it has wifi.

what are the dimensions of the stickers - are you using pre-cut adhesive material ? how are those stickers used - you refer to water resistance - and for how long are they in use ? And what is the print volume you think you only can handle with a larger format printer ?

It's far cheaper to print stickers on vinyl film with adhesive backing with eco solvent ink. The downside is printer is expensive and you need cutter to cut it. As you would be cuting it youself any shape is possible.

If you will go the photo printer way then the inks are way more expensive and you certainly don't need IMO the many inks like Pro1 has to print posters or stickers. I would suggest that you need CMYK 4 ink printer and good ICC profile. Keep in mind the print quality you will deliver to you clients depends on the data type you will work with. I mean you will print CMYK or RGB files, RIP is sometimes the best friend of your printer. So choose printer that RIP software you like would support it.
