Eggzkry! The person that brings the meat does not do the cooking OR shoo flies!
Ergo status Moderator or above (it truly requires that level of wizzdom) then turns humble thaughts into questions of great weight and clarity.......leading all us lesser mortals into the unfolding future......lead on McDuff!

How about a poll in about 3 months or so relating to early adopters experiences and opinions of Win 10?

Could even be 10.1a by then.

Maybe, but the author did say everything. :D

My uncle told me of the great fighters the Australians were in the Pacific during WWII. He hung out with them so much, sharing their mutton so often, that he could not even eat lamb thereafter. However, his respect for the Aussies will forever be great.

I reckon it’s a flaming good job that the Aussies had mutton to eat, otherwise that might have been a Yank steak on the Menu…:gig:gig

I encounteted many vetrans during my visit to Texas in 1981 who had only good things to say about Aussies, being included in that whilst flattering was undeserved, like the WW1 Anzacs they were a breed apart, I really DO get sad when I think on what this and other nations could have been if we had not squandered our BEST on something as wasteful as war - dont you think?.......

My father was born just after a war that killed 5 million people, and served in one that killed 10 million.

Since then we have had 70 years of nuclear stand off, paranoia, and some military skirmishes.

In the last 25 years, for the most part, we in the Western world have had almost no serious military risk to our health.

Was all that horror of those two great wars justified by the end result. Who knows?

Personally I think we should return to the medieval concept where the political leader of the day leads the charge on a white steed, instead of retiring to the bunker with his minions. Metaphorically speaking that is!

During the six months during my youth when drifting around the world I found that the Aussies I met along the way were great travellers and loads of fun to be with.
