Our Epson Stylus Photo R2000 has never been a happy printer when it comes to feeding paper, and lately it won't feed any paper at all. When it starts to feed, the rollers push the paper up and down a couple of times, and then shoots the paper through the printer without trying to print anything. Every once in awhile we can get a test print and all is well. We're printing from Mac OS 10.9x via USB. The printer is about 2.5 years old. We don't have Epson authorized service in this area, so we'll have to ship it off. One estimate to fix rollers was around $200 minimum. We're thinking of scrapping it and getting another printer, one that is not so fussy when it comes to paper feed. Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

Hi KNHARPER and welcome, you could try cleaning the rubber feed roller with alcohol (Take your time) also try soak half a sheet with more alcohol and let that sheet feed through the printer will help clean the paper feed path. (Without printing)

Thanks. I tried both your suggestions, but the problem seems to be not in the rollers, but in the mechanism that grabs the paper? Not sure how to describe it. I think we're going to just replace it, but I'm worried that other Stylus printers may be problematic. We like the Epson SureColor 600. Anyone offer a report?
