in his demonstration, he uses a special tip for the syringe. This tip can be purchased at rjettek for $0.39 (#3207) each, but they require a minimum purchase for $30.00 plus $12.00 for shipping.

I am considering to buy enough tip and syringe to make a kit. If you want one, give me a msg and I will sell it at cost plus shipping.

All of them! LOL
Yes that one should work. It has to be a bit thinner than a regular palin syring tip and have that little transverse notch at the tip!!

it's missing the transverse notch on the tip. That makes it able to not seal itself against the flat end of the Epson poppet valve. Without it you will have to till the syringe a bit so as to not create a seal against the poppet. Having to tilt a bit is not big deal though.

Ah yes... Minor issue though as the material is nylon and notching is easy enough.

I shall be back but first Zzzzzzz's needed :)

This is the one I use for refilling the Pro 1 cartridges, I just cut the tip at a slight angle to allow the ink to flow easier.

I've updated my earlier link to point to a modified version of the part. I had a look at the tapered needle you're using too @The Hat but I'm actually not sure if that's necessarily the best bit of the job. It's quite hard to notch because the diameter is quite small and the material is too soft so the needle has a tendancy to splay out. I think you'd be better off using a 1mm drill bit and putting a hole through it about 3mm from the tip.

Part of my reasoning is that I wonder if the uneven pressure on the cartridge valve plate might cause problems with wearing or possibly jam the valve open? It's only a theory but something that pushes the valve plate evenly and still allows ink to pass through at the sides would certainly avoid that issue, if one exists, obviously.

Probably me being over cautious but thought I'd suggest it in case it's relevant or worth keeping in mind.
