Hi,
I have CISinks CISS set in my printer.

I haven't had a lot of luck in getting good printing. Missing lines, faded, no colour. Then I watched vids online and discovered purging the tubes. So I purged the lines and nothing really improved.

Now I get a missing or damaged warning with the yellow cartridge. I tried moving the chip forward which did not help.

I am considering ordering new cartridges.

What are the suggestions for this situation, ie brands or ink types?

I use it for home printing, so I do not need excellent quality.

Ciss or CIS constant ink supply sytems works with EPSON, or in othe words Piezo type print heads, it has trouble with thermal print heads like Canon and HP. Therefore for these kinds of printers it should be avoided.

Refillable carts is the way to go for these printers.

The usual brand names are InkTec, OCP, PC (precision colors) inks. There are other good brands too.

If you get it right, meaning right setup then the quality should not be worse than OEM. The only difference is with OEM you get print longevity, with third party consumables you get cheap running cost.
